The Crews VL2, with MAXBLUE lens technology, blocks 41% of Blue Light.

Many jobs demand the use of handheld devices, smartphones, RF scanners, or other portable devices. All of these devices emit blue light which has been known to cause eye fatigue, headaches, and migraines. Many of these jobs are also indoor, and until recently, a wearer that needed to block a good portion of blue light had to resort to amber lenses. The negative to amber lenses other than the yellow shade is it distorts color recognition. With MAXBLUE lens technology, a worker can wear a clear lens that has a very faint mirror hue, yet while still blocking 41% of blue light. Pretty incredible!

    FROM THE PICTURE ALONE THESE PICTURES APPEAR TO BE TRANSPARENT AND STANDARD. HOWEVER THEY DO HAVE A SLIGHT AMBER TINT TO THEM THAT HELP ALLEVIATE EYE STRAIN FROM CELL PHONE AND COMPUTER USE. I'M ON THE COPUTER THROUGH WORK ANYWHERE BETWEEN 5-8 HOURS PER DAY AND THEY DO HELP. A WORD TO THE WISE THOUGH, THE ULTIMATE REMEDY IS TO TAKE BREAKS AWAY FROM THE MONITOR FREQUENTLY EVEN IF THESE GLASSES ARE BEING USED.

    My eyes are extremely light-sensitive and these glasses are the first relief I have had. I bought them because of the blue-blocking lenses, mostly for computer use, but find myself wearing them all day and evening. They also look terrific on.

    These safety glasses are very comfortable. The maxblue lenses are great. Eye fatigue is no longer noticeable. Would rate 5 stars, except mine arrived with a minor scratch in bottom left of lens. Does not impede viewing, but not ideal for a new (not used) product.
