GENERAL INFORMATION
The

organized for charitable and social purposes and shall provide an
opportunity for members to become acquainted with others in the
community.
It shall
provide an atmosphere for the increase of members' knowledge concerning
the principles and functioning of citizens in the local community and
shall undertake and promote charitable and humanitarian
projects within the community. In addition, it shall promote the
formation of enduring friendships.
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Members,
When I moved to Ramona four years ago, I appreciated the way that
members of the San Vicente Valley Club made me feel welcome and became
good friends. While the luncheons are an excellent way to become
acquainted with other members, the interest groups and working on the
Home Tour are where I’ve made the best friends. The more involved I’ve
become in the Club, the more people that I’ve gotten to know and love.
I urge you all to support Club activities as well as attending the
monthly luncheon. There are many wonderful ladies in the Club who are
well worth getting to know.
This year our annual Home Tour will take place on Saturday, May 11 to
tie in with Mother’s Day. The Home Tour is the only fundraiser that the
Valley Club does, and it supports our scholarship and community-funding
program. In 2011, we were able to give twelve scholarships to deserving
students from Ramona High School, Montecito High School and the
Mountain Valley Academy. We also gave community funding to such diverse
groups as Hippotherapy, Music Alive, and SDCEA Recreation Department.
By donating your time, talents and resources, you made the Home Tour a
great success last year. The Home Tour Committee is gearing up for this
year’s event with great enthusiasm and hopes you will all continue to
support it.
The Executive Board will be working hard to make this year fun,
exciting and successful. One of my goals for the year is enhancing
communication between the Board and members. Bobbi Singer and Mignon
Leins have done a fantastic job including as much information about the
Club as possible on our website. Be sure to check it out at,
www.sanvicentevalleyclub.org. If you have an email address, expect
messages with information about our events and programs.
Joan Renaud has been working hard to set up this year’s programs. We
can look forward to an entertaining and informative time at our
luncheons. Your elected Executive Board is anticipating a great
upcoming year. Please join us in enjoying as many of our resources as
you can.
Sincerely,

Maxine McNamara
President, 2011-2012
